INSURANCE COVERAGE ISSUES

As the field of litigation changes and expands, so too must the types of coverages which can be provided to potential insureds. Likewise, as the breadth of claims increases, so too do demands for coverage against same. The firm has taken a progressively more active role on behalf of insurance carriers in handling the challenges the insurance industry confronts in increasingly unstable and dynamic fields. While sensitive at all times to the needs of insureds, the attorneys of Braff, Harris, Sukoneck & Maloof have formulated guidelines for the insurers with which they work concerning coverage restrictions, policy provisions and policy interpretation. Bad faith claims are analyzed, evaluated and defended as are declaratory judgment claims. As coverage-related issues are often delicate, it is necessary for the firm to contemplate and anticipate all aspects of coverage litigation affecting both our carrier clients and their insureds.
